Terms of Service

Last updated: October 18, 2026. These terms are between you and Groundtip ("we," "us").

The service

Groundtip collects building permit information from public city records and delivers organized leads to subscribers, with suggested outreach messages. On some plans, Groundtip also sends outreach to builders on your behalf.

Data accuracy

Permit data comes from public sources and may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. We provide leads "as is," without guarantee of accuracy, completeness or results.

Your responsibilities

• Use leads for lawful business-to-business outreach only.
• Follow the laws that apply to your outreach, including the TCPA, the national Do Not Call Registry rules, CAN-SPAM and Texas law. You are responsible for any calls or texts you make yourself.
• Don't resell or republish Groundtip lead lists.

Outreach on your behalf

If your plan includes outreach, you authorize us to send messages in your company's name using templates you approve. You can pause or change them at any time.

Trials, billing and cancellation

New customers get a free 2-week trial. After that, plans renew monthly until canceled. You can cancel anytime by replying to any Groundtip message or emailing billing@groundtip.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month.

SMS terms

Program: Groundtip lead alerts. Frequency: up to 1 to 3 messages per business day, plus replies to your requests. Cost: message and data rates may apply. Opt out: reply STOP at any time. Help: reply HELP or email hello@groundtip.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Groundtip in the 3 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms and will tell subscribers by email before changes take effect.
